Meet the Principal

Dr. Michael H. Robinson is a native of Washington, D.C. and a product of the District of Columbia Public Schools. Dr. Robinson prides himself on being an individual who loves and cares about the personal and academic growth and development of children. 

A thirteen year veteran in education, before being hired as the principal here at Langston Hughes High School, Dr. Robinson served as the principal at Creekside High School, also in Fairburn, Georgia for several years. Before this assignment he worked as an assistant principal at Tri-Cities High School in East Point, Georgia.  Before becoming an assistant principal he worked as the Summer School principal, Dean of Students, Head Boys Basketball coach, and a Special Education teacher at Tri-Cities as well.

Dr. Robinson has devoted his career to becoming an effective educator and leader.  In doing so, he has been very instrumental and successful in helping others to help themselves so that they, too, can enjoy the self-gratification, rewards, and distinct pleasure that he has in giving to others.  Dr. Robinson believes that his experience with teaching, assisting, and leading others has prepared him for using his unique qualities of leading by example, motivating and stimulating others to learn, developing strategically sound educational programs to improve academic achievement, and promoting social and emotional growth and development in his students.
